Robertson Construction joins Aurora’s ever growing list of construction customers.

We are delighted to be supplying our face recognition technology on a major project in Scotland for our client Robertson Construction, part of the Robertson Group, a £200m t/o privately owned construction, property, investments and facilities services business.

• City of Ely Community College
• St Neots Community College
• Heathcote School and Barnwell School are the first two Hertfordshire schools to have faceREGISTER installed.

Aurora attended the East Sussex event on Wednesday 1st April 2009 Harnessing Technology Event at the National Golf course in Uckfield – Sussex.

We are delighted to welcome BAM on board who are one of the seven Top 10 Construction Companies that Aurora supplies to.

Aurora won and secured business from BAM Construction who are part of Royal BAM Group. The Royal BAM Group are a European construction giant who have enjoyed a turnover of 9 billion Euros in the last 12 months.

In 2008 Aurora was delighted to welcome two new customers they were:-
• Balfour
• Beatty Interserve

On the 19th March Aurora installed face recognition Time and Attendance software into the South Wales Hospital Development project.

January 2009

Aurora ID Card Centre launches its product range to rave reviews at the BETT show in Olympia.

Not content with winning contracts to supply over 22 schools with ID card solutions, we also launched our new face recognition 6th form based registration solution. Piloted at St Neots Community College, this technology was a huge hit with students, staff and teachers alike.

During a two day exhibition, our ID Card Centre staff, Ben, Carly and Paul presented our latest ID Card product range and caught the attention of many, in fact we brought on board 22 new school clients!

Credit crunch ignites boom in construction fraud - 16 September, 2008

Average building firm's loss to fraud rose 69% last year, says new report.
Millions of dollars have been lost because of a dramatic rise in construction fraud triggered by the credit crunch, according to a report released today. The latest Kroll Global Fraud report found that the average construction company's loss to fraud has increased by 69%, driven largely by tough economic conditions. In the past three years, companies lost an average of US$14.2m (£7.9m), compared with US$4.5m (£2.5m) last year. Read the full report online: [external link]

Aurora CEO, Hugh Carr-Archer was guest speaker at two sessions of Biometrics 2008.

Tuesday 21st October at 15.40 pm on a case study of biometrics in the construction industry in the UK and Middle East.

Thursday 23rd October at 15.20 pm, in his role as Chairman of the Intellect Association for Biometrics, Hugh delivered the “Closing Remarks” at the end of the exhibition.

Aurora wins the contract to supply a biometric site entry solution for a major expansion at one of the UK’s largest prisons.

Aurora portfolio of products was well received by over 3000 visitors at the facilities show at the NEC.

Aurora appoints two new account executives to meet demand from the construction and logistics markets. Gary and Julian bring to our team a wealth of experience of both market sectors and are already proving to be an asset to our organisation.

One of the largest waste management, recycling and demolition companies in the south east turns to Aurora to assist them in delivering a bespoke, streamlined payroll solution for their multiple sites. Impressed with by our links with a number of major construction companies we began consultation with this client several months ago and aim to deliver our bespoke solution during June 2008
